One More Pint is an acoustic duo featuring Lee Wiegman and Tom Tonkli. These long time musicians and performers came together in 2005 to share their talents and love of Celtic music. One More Pint plays a variety of Celtic and Irish music including traditional Irish songs and covers from contemporary Celtic groups like Great Big Sea, The Prodigals and Dougie MacLean. Their blend of acoustic guitars, mandolin, concertina and tin whistles combine with their vocal talents to create a stage act that is constantly evolving.

Tom Tonkli has been playing guitar for over 25 years, performing in both cover and original bands such as HeadFirst, The Khan Gurus, Living in Oblivion, No Matter What, Hoover Drive and Heater, sitting in with many other bands and musicians, as well as performing solo acoustic on a number of occasions. Growing up the son of highly talented, musical, immigrant parents from Slovenia, Tom’s household was always full of authentic European polkas and waltzes, as well as classical, jazz, and pops. His older brother introduced rock and roll to the house, thus completing Tom’s enormous variety of musical influences. Tom caught the performing bug early on, bought himself a cheap guitar, locked himself in his room, and taught himself to play. Some of his most memorable musical influences are Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, Barenaked Ladies (whom he played a song with at Gund Arena), and Great Big Sea, along with many, many more.

Lee Wiegman’s varied musical background and training has included performing classical, jazz, blues and rock music. In addition to a B.A. in music from Case Western Reserve University, while living in Denver, Colorado, Lee discovered Celtic music and studied the Irish tin whistle at the Swallow Hill Music Association in Denver. After moving back to Cleveland, Ohio he played electric bass in several rock and roll cover bands including Street Life and Heater where he met up with Tom. Lee’s influences run the gamut from modern rock/pop groups like Dave Mathews Band, and Coldplay, to classic rock artists like Santana and The Grateful Dead, and to Celtic super groups like Solas and Lunasa.

One More Pint has played in the Cleveland, Ohio area at Wilbert’s, The Barking Spider Tavern, Casey’s and Mullarkey’s Pub, as well as performing for house concerts, private events and festivals.
